Black Diamond Ventures Ltd. Acquires Class A Common Shares of Bellamont Exploration Ltd.

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 21, 2008) - On April 18, 2008, Black Diamond Ventures Ltd. ("Black Diamond") purchased 923,793 Class A common shares of Bellamont Exploration Ltd. ("Bellamont") through the facilities of the TSX Venture Exchange. As a result, Black Diamond together with associates of its sole shareholder, Mr. Robert Peters, will own and control an aggregate of 3,851,493 Class A common shares of Bellamont or 11.23% of the outstanding Class A common shares of Bellamont. Black Diamond may be considered to be acting jointly or in concert with Mr. Peters and certain of his associates, including Mrs. Ruth Peters, Longbow Capital Limited Partnership #7 and Longbow Capital Limited Partnership #16 under applicable securities laws.
The acquisition of Class A shares was for investment purposes and each of Black Diamond and Mr. Peters and his associates may, from time to time, as market opportunities exist or develop, increase or decrease their beneficial ownership, or control and direction over, Bellamont's Class A common shares as permitted by securities law. Black Diamond may in the future take such actions in respect of its holdings as it may deem appropriate in light of the circumstances then existing, including the purchase of additional Class A common shares or other securities of Bellamont through open market purchases or privately negotiated transactions, or the sale of all or a portion of its holdings in the open market or in privately negotiated transactions to one or more purchasers.
