I give all praise and honor and Glory to God our Father and our Lord, Jesus Christ for I have found a new home in Maple Glen Bible Fellowship Church. It is small, it is personal, it BIBLE BASED, it is what I have been looking for. I met some very wonderful brothers and sisters today. I am joining the woman's fellowship this Wednesday evening, I am filled with the spirit. I am filled with new hope. I spoke with the Reverend and he is going to come to our home to meet with Rusty and I and he does Christian Counseling! I told him the whole story. I felt so at home there. I loved singing praise and I loved the lesson from Phillipians 8-11 and the sermon he gave about Paul's love letter and the way he had us apply it to our own walk with Christ.....I just found myself full of praise and Thanksgiving. I even had tears running down my face. God loves all of us. Even really bad sinners can repent and come to know Jesus and turn their lives around.
All I really want right now is for my husband if he is going to die soon...to be counseled and prepared for death from this world but have life in Jesus. I have NO DOUBT now that this will happen. The Holy Spirit was on fire in those people I met today. The love of God and light of God shone through each and every one that I met there today.
I needed this so badly! I imagine church is like a washing machine. We walk in this sinful world collecting all kinds of dirt and attacks by the enemy. We need to wash those things away. Church, worship, praise, and fellowship do that for me. Jesus washes me white as snow. But it is tough to get a good cleansing without a good Church.
