we supplied a small "route 66" diner and a small neighborhood grocer in town with eggs too. 39 cents a dozen. 49 cents for the double yokers for the diner. back in those days, there were a lot of things one could to to earn money. those days are long gone. most stuff is not allowed anymore. at least most labor laws still exempt agriculture. when i was growing up, children were labor.
when i was in first grade, that was the first year that school stayed in operation through may. state reg's said 9 months. even then, when weather was good, none of the boys were in school.
all things multiply to the point of starvation.
