LOL! There's been a "drilling lobby" for years.

Good for Congress - the longer they can keep the drill bits quiet, the more chance there is of entrepreneurs developing alternative, renewable energy platforms.

You read the article - it would be a minimum of 7 years before the oil/gas on the shelf could be brought online. By the end of 7 years, we could have new sources in place - and we should have.
