shooter... I don't know if I was clear or not? I am on the email list for the posts as they fly on the yahoo group and I tend to post here. I follow both but my input tends to be only on this board as it is just easier. Thanks for thinking that my contributions here are worthy of the group. I think these two sites compliment each other. It would be good IMHO if the yahoo posters also spent some time here as you and Tim do.
As to the stock *pimps*... IHub has a feature that allows the board founders (Tim) to take down such posts. I finally had to do that to a poster on the RTEK board I monitor. Flat out spam that I just couldn't let stand --hyping a shell--.
Tim could do so here if he wished. I haven't heard back from that spam poster and think that if more take away their postings they will go away.
Matt does a heck of a job stopping the RB type of spam that is posted on many boards. That stuff doesn't even make it to the general public here so many of the draw backs to the RB board have already been countered here.
As to private verses public... I can see the advantages to both styles.
I spent sometime posting on SI recently and find that the quality of posters there is quite high. It comes down to IMO quality vs. quantity. The few boards I checked out were very quiet but the general discussion was very sound in my mind. I am glad I looked back in over there. It had been about 7 months lol
