Actually, I'm interested in how this auction thing works out. The way in which IPO shares are doled out now to a broker's favorite clients is ridiculous. They're used as basically a reward for a client staying through the broker's other bad picks. Totally unfair. Also, only the preferred brokers usually get them.
FWIW, I still don't see how Google will show much in the earnings dept. anyway, but maybe I'm missing where their profit center lies.
