Great Technology. If was a great product it would be selling. More over if it was a solution it would really be selling.
Unfortunately this is part of a solution so requires integration with other technology to create a solution. A term we used to use in the business - Solutions sell, Technology does not. Granted great technology can be used to create a great product but in our case here, that has not happened.
My excitement will only be increased when either there is an acquisition offer OR there is an announcement of a contract for a SOLUTION in which MTN is an integrated piece. Some of us may remember in the early semiconductor days, success was predicted by design wins as the design was the solution, not the chip.
Talking to yet another company won't and shouldn't drive the price up. The information in some of the (few) PRs in the past year discussed demo units for evaluation though many thought these were contracts and that sales would be announced soon. It doesn't take this long for an evaluating company to determine if MTKN has a solution to their problem.
As to my comment on acquisition a few messages back, this would not be done at the current trading PPS but rather after an extensive evaluation of the technology and potential value to a purchasing company. In cases like Microsoft vs. Yahoo, Microsoft's offer was less than Yahoo thought they were worth but more than the street price.
I guess I've vented enough - back to work and hope like the rest of you.
