BAC to develop Factor VIIa purification ligand for LFB

02-Jun-2008 - The Bio Affinity Company (BAC) has been contracted to create a purification method for the production of a recombinant protein, the clotting agent factor VIIa, made in the milk of transgenic animals.

The clotting factor has been developed by LFB Biotechnologies and US partner GTC Biotherapeutics as they seek a lower-cost alternative to current treatments for haemophilia and other bleeding disorders.
