As much as I have tremendous respect for DNA, I find this comment to be a bit superficial. DNA is not infalliable. I remember a character on the Yahoo GTC site from years ago by the name of Jprp (or some such). I suspect many of you remember him. He often spoke of the role of disruptive technologies. The pairing of Per.C6 and disposables is just this, disruptive. Years ago, the suits at DNA made a decision based on the norm of that time (~1gm/L). They had no way of reliablly predicting that shortly after Vacaville came on line that vastly cheaper & quicker technology would be available to achieve the same yields.
