It's too bad you can only claim a total net loss of $3,000 per year (for all your investments, not just one stock). I sold enough late last year just to maximize my allowed loss, but it hardly made a dent. It will take me a few years to sell it all and deduct my full loss.
You can, of course, sell it all at once anyway and carry the loss forward, but I figured it couldn't hurt to keep the rest of the shares in case a miracle happens in the meantime. I still have most of my shares to get rich on if that happens.
I'm not buying anymore either, though, "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me."
