Just got off the phone with Hal Hassall, V.P. of Consumer Marketing for echo Music, a subsidiary of Ticketmaster. This is the first time I've spoken with someone that's worked directly with ADCS/V Starr.

Hal stated that Chris McKenna was "super" to work with and the purpose of the April 10th SL event was to study the mechanics of how everything would work in a SL venue. He stated that everyone came away "very impressed" and the recording artists he's consulted with really liked the idea of the concept.

Hal stated that TV networks are "always" searching for the next big thing and that the talent contest in SL will be "fascinating to watch."

Hal doesn't know who the TV network is that V Starr is negotiating with and he doesn't know who will be advertising or sponsoring the contest. He was consulting with V Starr solely for the purpose of determining the feasibility of holding the contest in a SL venue.

He states that V Starr is the first company to try something like this and he likes what they were able to demonstrate.
