Dr. Stoll stepping down in August.. wow. I knew it would happen eventually, but didn't expect it this soon.

Varney seems like a competent guy, but it won't be the same without Stoll. I'd say he's done a remarkable job all things considered. Those of you who weren't around when he took over -- the company was in complete disarray, with less than 1/2 mil in the bank, flogging the ultra weak CX-516, with Shire having walked away from their option on ADHD. Stoll quickly raised money and refocused the company, rapidly moving CX-717 into development. If it wasn't for Laughren and the a-holes at Psychiatric, Cortex would be a $10 stock right now, with ~$100 mil in the bank (when you figure the ADHD pharma deal proceeds, a financing, and the warrant proceeds).

Even with the hand the FDA dealt him, Stoll managed to save the company once again by quickly seizing upon the RD opportunity. I think Roger deserves a huge amount of credit. I'll miss him a lot, and yes, even the 'little squirt of juice' story that we all heard so many times (Deadwyler's primates).
