Smith Micro Software Announces Strategic Partnership with BT iNet

Partnership Enables BT iNet to Offer Seamless Network Roaming and Secure Enterprise Mobility
ALISO VIEJO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Smith Micro Software Inc. (NASDAQ: SMSI - News), a leading developer and marketer of software solutions and services for the wireless market, today announced that it is collaborating with BT iNet on the development of secure mobile connectivity solutions.
BT iNet is developing a portfolio of mobile connectivity solutions to deliver to its enterprise and government customers that incorporate a roaming client and mobile VPN solution.
The combined offering will provide BT iNet customers with the ability to maintain continuous secure communication sessions between a Mobile PDA device and the user’s enterprise network applications over a variety of public and private wireless networks, along with mobile operator access.
The continued proliferation of global wireless network deployments using broadband technologies such as Wi-Fi, HSDPA, 3G and WiMax is enabling easier access to critical information resources from any location and the demand for secure network access and seamless mobility across these varying networks is accelerating.
