(I only care about the parts that involve DPDW, the last 2 paragraphs)

As operator, Shell also has major interest in the Perdido project in the Gulf of Mexico. Located in 2,380 meters of water, Perdido will be the world's deepest Direct Vertical Access Spar. Perdido will then be connected to three fields within a 48 kilometer radius. One of the fields, Tobago, will be the world's deepest subsea completion. Peak production for the project is expected to be 130,000 barrels per day.

With the arrival of Global Santa Fe's Arctic 1 in February, Shell's BC-10 project offshore Brazil marks a key point in the development of Brazil's offshore heavy oil. Three fields will be developed and tied back to a centrally located FPSO in 1,780 meters of water. The project will be the first to use many new technologies, such as steel tube hydraulic and multi-circuit high power umbilicals to deliver power to the 1,500 horse power pumps on the sea floor.

Visitors can learn more about Shell and its projects by visiting OTC 2008 booth #5817.
