Slavery was an evil in the bible. The folks that founded America and wrote our laws were Christians. They knew it was wrong and still did it. They were fleeing oppression but thought it was ok to steal people from another country and abuse them and their children for hundreds of years. You lack of knowlegde here is sickening. We spend too much time defending evil. Evil is evil no matter who does it or when it is done. You can not lessen the harm of slavery for today's Negros and Africans anymore than you can the Jewish Holocaust for today's Jews. Old evils have a way of coming back to you. Ask the Romans, Greeks, Jews, Germans, Japanese, Russians, Africans, and almost every other nation out there. Each one has enslaved, tortured, commited genecide on a massive scale, and that includes the religious wars old and current(Catholics,Jews,Muslims)to convert or kill a people, and each one has paid, continues to pay, or will pay a heavy price for their evil sins.
