As a matter of religious observation they obey and submit to their husbands. Still, polygamy is illegal, as is having sex with children -- if that's indeed what happened... If you're raised in a certain culture, it all seems very normal to you...

Now, hell would certainly freeze before anyone did submission in this house, but the SBC is a mainstream religious organization in many parts of the US -- representing the beliefs of a large percentage of our citizens. Tho they don't advocatte polygamy or marrying children... The 527s would have killed Huck with the above, and other positions if he had been the nominee...
