"so now your neighbor can call the police and tell them you are abusing your kids and the kids probably arent your own

and they will take them away"

That's nothing new... Dyfs is a prime example. As a state agency designed to protect children and families, they are notorious for going after the WRONG families, and making those families miserable...

Tho that is beginning to change somewhat, as Dyfs is beginning to go after schools, hospitals and other institutions who file erroneous, even ridiculous complainta and otherwise harass those entrusted to their care... This is under the guise of "institutional abuse." So -- good for any parent to know, if the school district, hospital or some other agency makes a ridiculous complaint to your state's child protection agency, you can counter "institutional abuse," and the state agency will make the their lives equally unpleasant.

Quite a while back, two parents filed an institution abuse complaint against a local hospital, and the parents were right to do so. Dyfs investigated. The hospital had to pull every pediatric file over the last two years, and Dyfs audited for anything and everything. Administration sweated the entire ordeal, and the nurse was no longer employed by the facility.

Before anyone files any report with Dyfs or other child protection agency, they should make damn sure the complaint has merit -- and is not, worse, a vindictive complaint.
