Actually, citizenship laws in Israel are more lenient that in many countries in Europe. If you are Born in Israel, you are a citizen (just like in the US). In Belgium, citizenship is not a "birth right". I Many Arab countries neither. In Kuwait, you have to show through you fathers line "Kuwaitiness" to 1913 (all locally born, of course). The only strange thing about Israeli citizenship is that Jews from the diaspora are allowed to settle in and receive Israeli citizenship, even if not born there. As far as immigration of non Jews, the rules are not that different than US rules. You need special work visas if you want to come and work in the country.
