Shorts have a legit place in the market place.. Naked shorts may raid but if a company is real they cannot destroy a company.. The latest company to fall is CROX where the shorts were placed and continued to increase from $80.00 down.. Blame the shorts but they lost money in thier last reporting period.. Shorts trade at 20X the rate of longs and do provide support when they cover.. Most BB stocks use the shorts in place of earnings to blame the reason why thier stocks fail.. The recent downdraft in bank's and homebuilders were a short traders dream come true.. Also isn't GOLD a short hedge against currency when you really think about it..hank
