Crude Oil Eases Off Record High 10:30a ET April 21, 2008 (Briefing.com) The major indices take out fresh session lows. Losses are substantial, but are modest when compared to last week's strong gains. In usual fashion, crude oil has traded in a choppy manner. It is currently down 0.1% to $116.56 per barrel after being down as much as 0.5% and up as much as 0.8% when it hit an all-time high of $117.60 per barrel. Crude oil has spiked 22% higher in 2008 and has gained 85% compared to one year ago.
