Couldn't find one instance of a day like this in the last 40 years. Set parameters as nyse decliners over advancers by 3 or more to 1, and an s&p loss of 2/10 of 1% or anywhere above (ie, flat to up). Not a single one turned up. 519 instances of 3 to 1 decliners over advancers, every one had a s&p loss of more than 0.2%. Except this one. So much for a free market.
