You must be talking about before the Whiz Kids in '50.

I loved it when they beat the Dodgers and Giants for the pennant. That last game with Sisler's (son of the greatest Brownie) homer in the 10th to beat the Bums was extraordinary.

I grew up listening to "The Shadow."
