Net net, it's all about money (oer economics), and until it costs less to pull fiber to every house, copper will remain viable, especially if telcos can use their existing infrastructure and bring HDTV to their customers; bundling cable services, VDSL, long distance and local services. At some point copper won't have the edge, but for the timeframe necessary for NVI to make current shareholders very happy.... we're safe IMO.
