Austin, personally I am not aware of your post, or any deletion of your post...

I am looking forward to milestone announcements... some have speculated about new blood (new additions to the mgt team). The more the merrier, especially if they have tech business background, and have worked for companies who have made it happen in the past. I guess time will tell.

I sense NVEI is going to shake things up in the coming 3-6 months. I like hearing NVEI talk about carrier trials moving very qucikly once initiated this summer. It makes sense, knowing that they are building their prototype to address specific performance specifications. If they simulate successfully in the next 6 weeks, and the prototype does what it has been built to do (very specifically per X's requirements).... 30 days should be enough time to prove, in the real world, that NVEI indeed has a means of unblocking the last mile bottleneck in the US broadband (over copper) market.

I suspect that something in the 20-22Mb/s, at current DSL distances, which is about 12-18K feet, would turn some heads in a big way. Faster and further is gravy, but the groove would be 20+, at current DSL distances IMO. It would allow for telcos to compete side by side, head to head, with cable service providers - and that, well, that changes the whole ballgame. Telcos could then bundle services as predicted they would over the past few years. And believe me, they'll make money hand over fist if they can add additional services, like cable entertainment, DSL, to existing long distance / local service bills.

At some point, video phones will become the norm, replacing std dial up service.... George Jetson move over.
