What an interesting response, Fred, thank you so much for giving it that much thought. You've been flying since the 40's? Wow. I love flying in small planes. You're high enough to feel that soaring sense, yet low enough to get a great perspective on entire communities. I love looking at towns from the air. How the homes are arranged, the yards are kept, whether or not people have pools or communities are settled around larger club pools or golfcourses says so much about the people who live there. their expectations and desires. This may all be hooey, but it's my fantasy, anyway.
I asked the question at my dinner party last night and the answers were interesting. I'd thought that answers would be divided along gender lines, with women choosing invisibility and men choosing flying. But last night, at a gathering of ten people, every artist (we had two poets and a painter) chose flying and all the others chose invisibility. I was the outlier.
