Marvell was a genius in buying Intel's xscale business. If you think about it, there was alot of uncertainty about Rimm. This was before the launch of the Pearl on T-mobile when Rimm was just realizing that consomers were actually buying the phones. Marvell investors need to keep in mind that even though there are 14 million Crackberry subscribers worldwide, there are numerous more Blackberries out there than that. Many Blackberry fans have multiple Blackberries. Some passed them down to there friends when they get the newest Blackberries. Some don't even get a Blackberry data plan but just buy the phone because it's a status symbol. Marvell lucked into a great business with Rimm considering how many carrier partners are launching all over the world and how many chips that will go into these phones.
