My dentsit has looked into them and isn't impressed with lasers. They are limited to line of sight. A skilled dentist with a drill can do more and a better job. Even if he was to get a laser he would have to keep his drill. He sees no reason to spend a lot of money on something when what he's already got can do more and does everything he needs. As for the pain, that's what they've got novacain for. And my dentist is a bit of a techy. He keeps up on all the latest techniques, tools and materials.
