Yes, I would pray -- I pray about most everything I do. But I would also fight to the best of my ability (not what it used to be <gg>) if I or my family were physically threatened.

The injunction by Jesus is to "turn the other cheek" if your enemy slaps you in your face. The greek words indicate being slapped not for bodily harm, but just as it is used today, a form of insult. He did not mean we are not to protect ourselves and/or our families, nor are we to forego protecting others.
