Why dismiss it? If someone did something wrong, particularly as an act of White House vendetta, using the powers of that office wrongly, let it hang out there, the sooner the better. If all these things are going to be kept in the closet now, believe me they will come back out in the last two months of the election campaign and cause much more damage to the incumbent. Novak lost a long time ago any credibility he had with me, he is bitter and completely one sided. I wonder whatever happened to Safire, I have not seen him on Sunday morning shows for some time, is he developing a distaste to what is happening to the "freedom of the press" and thus no longer participate, sensing his staunch libertarian/conservative stances are being exploited for the wrong cause?
