What a dog of a new architecture that in the best case possible, it only wins by 4%, while Xeon wins by over 30% in int_rate_base! Unbelievable....
We will just forget the 12MB cache and 45nm process shall we in this little fairy tale of what's new and what isn't ?

What a huge win for AMD to be just about even with Intel, even in the 4-socket space, given a brand new architecture ... Not
Considering the much vaunted 20%+ integer bragging of Intel execs about Core 2 yeah it is. I also don't recall AMD ever calling Barcelona 'a brand new architecture' it was always an evolution of K8 for better or worse.
