nope. After reading the news it seems that China wants a way to bid on russian auctions but needs a pawn to do that and when I think of pawn Maly seems like a prime candidate.

This is my opinion on how it would work.

There is an auction in russia for a big field and the value is about $1billion. We all know that NWOG cannot afford it and in the end rosneft would probably win. But now with China's money NWOG can bid higher and win more auctions. It will have better chances to win. SO say it wins this auction and can pump 10000 BPD, China would get 9500 of it and NWOG gets to keep 500. Maybe even less.
