I don't know about "neocons" but conservatives view the possibility of a hillary presidency as an anathema, to be avoided at all costs. The same goes for obama. That is why I expect that even a lackluster candidate like McCain will garner strong conservative support despite his lack of conservative credentials. A case of "hold your nose and pull the lever, hoping for the best" scenario. And yes, much the same as the past two presidential elections.

I personally think that neither hillary nor obama are electable at this point, and thus it is McCain's election to win or lose.
