I think this is what some call a 'Freudian slip', yes Reagan did start America on it's 'decent'. You probably meant 'descent', but your post is more accurate. Reagan was a true public servant, not the typical politician feeding at the public trough. And your original post is accurate, he was 'decent' (I'm assuming you'll correct your post in the interim).
