Ahh, Daffy one, where do I begin?? Geesh, the problem is you frame everything from your 'holier than thou, I am always right' attitude. Very condescending, very far right, very YOU.
Let me tell you about my day, ej64: Went to the funeral of a 47 year old woman who died of cancer. I knew her over the years and found her to be very caring and compassionate, only to find out during the mass how truly caring and compassionate she really was. In attendance, taking up a pew and 1/2 were about 15 crossing guards in yellow wind breakers (along with several score and her ex-husband and 18 year old son). Well, the long and short is she worked for the school district for several years before she became ill about 3 years ago. She fought the good fight through rounds of chemo and surgery, but as time progressed, was unable to return to her job and faced the prospect of losing disability insurance. Sooo, the district 'found' her a crossing guard job and asked her to work a couple 2 hour shifts a week so she could maintain her insurance.
Now, I won't speak for YOU, ej64, but for YOU to imply I hate Conservatives (when the preponderance of my friends are) and I hate Independents and Americans who disagree with me is again, sorry to say, typical of your ilk who sanctimoniously tiptoe between your so-called religion (the priest spent considerable time extolling the virtue of LOVE during the mass) and your vehemence towards others.
Here's my point: As I sat in this service today honoring this woman who died way before her time, watched the tears flow from so many young people in attendance, thought about our compassionate government as they strip away the lifelines for those in need and anything 'good' about our society while bankrupting MY treasury in the name GOD only knows what, well, ej64, for a moment during that service, you are right, I felt my toe reach forward and touch that vast body of 'hate' you so carelessly throw about.
Edit Update: I see you edited your' hate' out...good for you.
