i undeerstand that and i respect your position but you have to also remember that they are close to bankruptcy not a lot of leverage to negotiate......if your drowning how many people do you know wouldn't take the first life preserver thrown out to them....also what other big instituion has the cash to make the offer? i wish bank of america would dump its countrywide acquisition and take a shot at bear stearns...but hey so be it....
