What do mean will not be approved? This is a product on the market, and the accompanying article is designed to help sell the stuff to researchers. The operative word is "transient."

Short term projects to test a little of this or a little of that make use of transient transfections. Large scale cell culture uses established and characterized cell lines, not transient transfections.
