No, they only had to believe that they were going to have the meeting. When they knew that the meeting was no longer going to happen they were obligated to give notice in a timely manner. Arguably, tonight was timely, especially in relation to market hours. However, I personally would have appreciated receiving the information sooner as it would have allowed me more time to adjust the expectations of the multiple investors I've brought into this stock who were anticipating news of the much-hyped (by EDS as official IR) meeting.
