Yeah, but he didn't exactly "buy" them:

"The Issuer granted 65,152 restricted shares of stock to the Reporting Person at a deemed price of $0.33 per share as payment in kind for the Reporting Person's service on the Issuer's Board of Directors for the first quarter of fiscal 2008."
