Religion is cultural, and people tend to distrust those from another culture... But you bring up a great point about Obama, why (especially in the US) should we judge someone by their religious beliefs? As King said, shouldn't we judge the "content of character" or life lived rather than religious "branding"? Shouldn't we be proud of who we are and the life we live?...

Who cares if Obama is Muslim, if Romney is Mormon, or if Rudy is Catholic ?? Isn't faith between an individual and their God, and if Obama says he's Christian, who are we to say otherwise ??

It is sad that we have learned so little about tolerance and understanding (even petty differences). As a matter of fact, I think 9/11 caused us to collectively take a quantum step backwards!!... It's awful!
