Better Safe than Sorry !!!

Dill, If you use your system for Internet shopping with a credit card at the very least you should have a firewall. With IRC chat programs and Web vulnerabilities out their its better to be safe than sorry.

Unlike, Mac OS 9, OS X has terminal services that can be probed for vulnerabilities.

If your using your system as a server you should use a monitoring program like MacAnalysis:

As OS X continues grows in popularity it will only be a matter of time before some bright hacker will figure out a way in.
