Joe - it depends on the what kind of "eye candy" you turn on - and more and more gamers are going for better quality images. Add in the increased interactive physics capabilities and the huge # of polygons they're going to (nVidia just demo'd a game scene with 6 million polygons!!) and you'll start bogging down today's most powerful machines if you turn it all(or even most of it) up. Yes, ping time is crucial, but there's not a lot there that has anything to do with CPU power; it's more optimizing your connection and finding good servers. Paul
