I have been tracking this as well since August on a weekly basis. We added on average 1375 new users a day since last Monday. This is by far the largest number I have ever seen.
1160 per day recorded the week of 11/19 - 11/26 was the previous record.
Maybe the new website aquisition is the reason for this?
