Both Bush and Clinton fumbled the ball pre 9/11. There were warnings for both administrations.

I believe the debate of security versus liberties is a healthy one that needs to be examined. Given the state of the world at this time it is only natural to ramp up survelliance and test the limits of what Americans are willing to accept. What other reaction could you have expected after 9-11?

However, I also think we need the opposite side of the argument there to watch every step the gov't takes.

We will find a middle ground and the American people will let our politicians know when they go too far.
