If the ice has restored..
its all (short term..)good news..
the noted melt was
20-30 years ahead of projected schedule

But..there Is
no mention of the thickness..
of the ice...
(most of the melt has been from below...
The heat IS..
In the oceans)

or mention of...
sulfur dioxide emissions increase
from Chinese coal fired plants....
having a short term effect on cooling..
(China opens a new coal fired plant..every 10 days..)

(acid rain is from SO2...)

analysis of SO2...CO2
http://ams.allenpress.com/archive/1520-0442/6/7/pdf/i1520-0442-6-7-1241.pdf

the problem is..
SO2 remains in the atmosphere...
approx for 4 years......
the CO2 released at the same time..
remains for 75+ years

Nobel Prize winning Scientist
(Atmospheric Chemistry...)
Paul Crutzen..
has suggested..
high altitude release of SO2
as a stop gap solution to
run away warming..
China ..'may be' releasing enough..SO2
to stave off the warming.
but its release of CO2..
will only come back to haunt us...
The heat IS..In the oceans
