Like anything else there are positives and negatives about this. It's been my experience that it is not a good thing when a person that is directly connected to the company posts on the board here. It causes mayhem more often than not.
I like the idea of one of the regular posters here sharing info gathered from discussions with the company/IR person but it can be a thankless position. I have seen people that share their findings get royally crucified on these boards and that isn't right. To the best of my knowledge these people were simply sharing direct quotes verbatim, and yet still they were bashed. Mercilessly so at times.
There are obvious advantages to having one person be the "go between" per se, but there will always be those that cast doubt on what is reported claiming that what they are saying is biased. It can put the person between the proverbial "rock and a hard place".
I'm all for it if someone wants to take the time to report back relative information regarding the stock. But I wouldn't go as far as saying that it should mean that others shouldn't call on their own if they want to. Doing that has it's own set of obvious hot spots. If everyone exercises a little common sense when it comes to contacting the company we should be able to reach a happy medium. I'm in favor of what is best for the board and for the stock.

"Sort of" is such a harmless thing to say. "Sort of". It's just a filler. "Sort of" - It doesn't really mean anything. But after certain things, "sort of" means everything. Like after "I love you" or "You're going to live" or "It's a boy".
