In other words the indicator indicates...nothing...its a data point useful for extrapolation of someones opinion useful to rationalize a position. Open interest does not show the Selling of puts or calls either, they are just Gross accumulated data which are probably wrong most of the time. I've called and talked to the board of trade on this issue a long time ago...guess what, they dont want to talk about it.
