Email from Haag about mass production:

The Proteus was designed to use parts that could be easily fabricated either in-house or outsourced. The problem in the past has been the lead time for special machined gears and other such high tolerance machined parts taking six-months and sometimes more, to receive.

Deep Down has always had the ability to mass produce things here when needed. The facility is an ISO 9001 compliant operation, laid out for large scale process work flow. So, our ability to produce has never been a huge issue. Rather, in our new product designs, attention has also been given to the parts needed and how to overcome such long lead time items through both engineering and work flow. This allows us to more quickly meet customers' turn-around time demands, and increase sales of our technology.

Please feel to contact me anytime should you require more information.
