jk21 regarding the plan to uplist, since the first filings late in 06, where the filings mentioned the possibility of uplisting, I think the company has been working towards that goal.
Last Oct brikk posted this "i actually spoke with robert chamberlain about a potential uplisting today. he didn't speak specifically about when we'd leave the OTCBB, but what he did say is that they want to "make a big splash" with it. they want to do it in conjunction with something really bullish that brings them a lot of attention."
Then in this press release Jan. 24, 08 Deep Down Hires Corporate Controller #msg-26244089 ,they give this hint
With his MBA/CPA credentials, Mr. Teal brings significant experience in mergers and acquisitions, business development, business valuations, investment analysis, strategic planning, debt financing, equity issues, bank lines, and financial planning. His background has primarily been in the energy industry encompassing refining, natural gas, power generation, oil and gas exploration, marine services, and risk management. Since 1984, Mr. Teal has held various corporate-level positions in accounting, treasury, and corporate finance functions with major energy companies, most notably Valero Energy Corporation, The Coastal Corporation, and El Paso Corporation. Recently, he has provided consultation services to major Houston and Dallas corporations, including a position as Senior Consultant with Sirius Solutions.
"Mr. Teal fills a critical vacancy on our management team as we continue to prepare and position ourselves for further growth through mergers and acquisitions and internal operations. We are very excited about the skills Mr. Teal brings to our team. He will be responsible for the coordination and integration of the accounting activities of each of Deep Down's current and future subsidiary operations. Mr. Teal also has relevant experience with the policies and procedures for compliance with regulations promulgated by Sarbanes-Oxley. Our goal is to reach full compliance during 2008," commented Robert E. Chamberlain, Jr., Deep Down's Chairman and Chief Acquisitions Officer (CAO).
In the last 2 weeks we have received some e-mails from DPDW's Investor Relations person Steve Haag who offers us his opinions with theses caveats:
"These are simply my personal comments, and should not be relied upon in your investment decisions. I strongly urge you to conduct your own due diligence with regard to any investment in Deep Down, Inc. I respectfully refer you to Deep Down's filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission." and in another letter he states this:
"Not that you should take ANY investment advice from me, nor do I give it. However, I have had heard from other shareholders gleefully calling this a "buying opportunity," for what that is worth as well."
Keeping the above in mind, Here are some of his other quotes:
"I can however, point to the facts - the company's performance has been stellar, on-track to double, or maybe more, its 2006 earnings, two accretive acquisitions under its belt already, and company insiders have not sold a single share, they have, in fact, accumulated more holdings. Take that into consideration for what it is worth."
"However, I can tell you that the company continues to grow, receive increasingly larger orders for its products, which are already in high demand, and can additionally tell you that no company principles have sold a single share - for what that information is worth."
"This company is covered by two important research reports, and has institutional support already in its first year of existence, and it is apparent that the possibility of up listing, although not publicly announced as of yet, appears quite possible in the future."
"Yes, not only is the OS share count not much higher that one year ago, the company has more than doubled its revenues and even more telling, its EBITDA. I have not seen many company pull off a doubling in EBITDA while not increasing its OS share count."
"The company's plan is, building a very large company through organic growth and merger and acquisition, perform investor relation activities such as continuing to meet with institutional investors, doing road shows, and providing me with 110% support of my investor relations activities to get the word out about DPDW to new audiences.
The company knows where it is headed in three to five years and is not governing its actions based on temporary fluctuations in the market at any given time. Essentially, they are building a stellar company, and the stock price, we firmly believe, WILL follow."
-end Steve Haag quotes-(they can be found in their entirety and in context as posted to this board, in my next post and here #msg-26698525 and #msg-26882560 .)
Let me add my opinion to all these others. I think the company is focused on an uplisting and working towards that goal by building product and revenues, meanwhile taking care of the details necessary to meet listing requirements. Although I haven't seen any official statement anywhere about uplisting, when the time is right, they will announce it, and my personal feeling is at that point things will happen fast. This company tends to deliver.
