Yes, that's a very good point. He has organized people across the entire nation, to work for the betterment of the nation -- or so they believe. That is am impressive accomplishment, and he has reached across all demographics to unite people to work for toward the same end.
As for the evangelicals, I'm actually impressed by the fact that they are supporting one of their own, and no longer allowing themselves to be used by establishment snakeoil salesmen who promise them everything for their vote and deliver very little. I would prefer the candidate of the people (populism) over the candidate of the establishment any day.
Bush/Clinton/Bush/Clinton is revolting to me as that represents the ultimate establishment line-up...
