I don't doubt that theory one bit. And then ask yourself why he decided to show up yesterday, when it is becoming clear to everyone there has been blatant fraud and forgeries etc etc to offer 'only eik' someone everyone trusts....access to Dovgan through email. It's so sadly obvious. The con artists (or he himself, basically the same people/person)enlisted him to come in and do damage control as the jig is pretty much up. Since all the pr's etc weren't working they thought they would try to return to the sleezy world of email correspondence to convey their lies.
PS. Ever wonder why he writes in such confusing run on sentences that in the end add up to nothing? It isn't an accident.
